Initially i was bit skeptical whether this charger will fit my Garmin Nuvvi 260W GPS or not. It’s perfect. My GPS is charging normal like it used to do with the old original charger

This is th exact same 12V power cord that ships with many Garmin Nuvi models. Useful as a spare, or to keep in a second vehicle. It costs a few dollars more than other manufacturer’s after-market styles, but knowing it is well made and will hold-up over repeated moving in and out of multiple vehicles seems like it is worth the investment.

Some of the other cords sold here on Amazon that claim to be for the 1490′s do NOT work but this cord works perfectly with my NUVI 1490-LMT. I believe this is the oem NON-TRAFFIC cord for this family of Garmins – says Garmin on the side even. The car cord with “lifetime traffic updates” that I paid extra for is thick and unwieldy and, since most areas DO NOT HAVE traffic updates, is also completely useless. This cord is lot more convenient.

We began having a hard time getting our Garmin adapter to work, it took several tries to find the right spot to get the connection. I ordered this item, it came very quickly, and it worked on the first try, no more rotating the plug for the magic spot. This is much better than the cord that came with the Garmin.

Ordered this part because my original cable was stolen. Seems to work perfect. Great replacement. Great price.

good quality replacement for our gps adapter that stopped working. would recommend this over a cheap generic adapter or buying a new gps if just the adapter portion is not working.

I found this not really necessary.i bought it because of some rather picky
reviewers saying the cable that came with the 1490 LMT was bulky.It was not bulky in my Silverado Pickup.Not sorry I bought it but was not necessary.

I bougt this as a backup in the even that I loose or forget my power adapter that came with my Garmin 1490LMT (although I’d be out $100+ for the traffic receiver of the stock power adapter!). It is a genuine Garmin product and works exactly as it should: allowing me to use the GPS while powering the unit simultaneously. The right-angle USB connector is perfect for the rear-facing port on the 1490 unit.

It works as it should! Now our GPS works again. Service was good and the price was better that local stores or we would have bought there.

This power adapter cable is exactly what I was looking for. I had tried to get a replacement cord before but all other non-Garmin branded cords wouldn’t let me view the GPS at the same time as charging. This one was perfect, works exactly as it should.
